Here are three new pieces I recently did for D&D that just went live. I got to work with AD Keven Smith this time around and it was real pleasure. Very fun stuff.
My agent Richard Solomon has posted an article about his new group of artists called Ctrl-N. The group includes Andrew R. Wright, Chris Whetzel, Goni Montes, Dongyun Lee, Edward Kinsella III and myself. It is a very well rounded group, all with solid portfolios. You can see all their work here at RSAR along with links to theispot and The Workbook as well as view the Ctrl-N posting here.
It is really an honor to have Richard Solomon as my representation. I couldn't ask for someone more knowledgable and experienced in the Illustration business.
This is the cover I did for Dragon Magazine Issue 384. It recently went live so I can post it now. I worked with Jon Schindehette at D&D which is always a pleasure. I did a few other pieces for this issue but I am just waiting on them to go live. More to come.
The Academy has used some of my art for an AAU add in Juxtapoz. Thanks to Will for bring this to my attention. I finally got my hands on the issue. There is also work by Gue Yang Yang and Frank Lin.

Alright so got this baby onto board today. 18 x 24 but a little less with the boarder. Just couldnt get the image size right at kinkos but no matter. Gunna start painting this thing tomorrow, FINALLY I know. Things have been slow.
So, long story on this one. I did this stuff a ways back and for some reason never posted it, probably cuz it is a pretty different style from my current work. Anyways, my friends Joe Bereta and Luke Barats did a pilot for a sketch comedy style show on NBC. Their website Baratsandbereta.com has all their comedy work to date and they are both down in LA now working their butts off. For the Pilot I did a number of illustrations that were meant to fade or dissolve out into their live action counterparts. The effect was pretty cool. The pilot was set up as a comic strip and each new sketch was a three frame comic in a newpaper called The Backpage. This is Culdesac was the original name for the pilot. Milkman vs. Mailman and Neighborhood Watch are the only two sketches available for view right now. They are minus the dissolve from the illustrations. Check out their youtube page also.
Certainly am going to do more on this one cuz it is way fun. Probably be multiple drawings of the day for this. Drew in photoshop this time. If anyone wants to donate to my cintiq fund you are more than welcome. Anyone got a name for this thing?
I came across these sketches Rich Anderson did in what looked like pen and ink, but they could have been in photoshop as well. Anyways they inspired me ( and by all means I give credit to Rich Anderson) to attempt the look in photoshop and I had a lot of fun. I am certainly going to do more of these, and probably add some more values in. This is still day one though on the drawing log so these don't count I guess. haha
