Culdesac/Backpage Pilot
So, long story on this one. I did this stuff a ways back and for some reason never posted it, probably cuz it is a pretty different style from my current work. Anyways, my friends Joe Bereta and Luke Barats did a pilot for a sketch comedy style show on NBC. Their website Baratsandbereta.com has all their comedy work to date and they are both down in LA now working their butts off. For the Pilot I did a number of illustrations that were meant to fade or dissolve out into their live action counterparts. The effect was pretty cool. The pilot was set up as a comic strip and each new sketch was a three frame comic in a newpaper called The Backpage. This is Culdesac was the original name for the pilot. Milkman vs. Mailman and Neighborhood Watch are the only two sketches available for view right now. They are minus the dissolve from the illustrations. Check out their youtube page also.

sketches Ps
I came across these sketches Rich Anderson did in what looked like pen and ink, but they could have been in photoshop as well. Anyways they inspired me ( and by all means I give credit to Rich Anderson) to attempt the look in photoshop and I had a lot of fun. I am certainly going to do more of these, and probably add some more values in.
This is still day one though on the drawing log so these don't count I guess. haha

I live!
So I am alive and doing stuff. I have been working on some commissions but I cant post them just yet. So I wanted to throw up some other stuff for fun, sketchbook stuff and what have you. Just to make it look like I am doing something, haha.
A little Ahab portrait I really wanted to finish up and finally did. Basically another photoshop practice. A cover I am working on my for my friend Eric Johnson, just a value comp right now. And finally a fun sketch I liked.
