Magic Update - Ravnica and Gatecrash

I think I have only posted one of my Magic card illustration so far.  I have fallen a bit behind so here is a big update of many of the pieces that have been recently released.
From the Return to Ravnica Set:
Martial Law

Chaos Imps

Thrill-Kill Assassin

And from the recently released Gatecrash:

Firefist Striker
Gyre Sage

Domri Rade - Planeswalker

Aurelia's Fury

Vizkopa Guildmage
Cheers!

  1. wow! those are awesome

in "Martial Law" i love the feeling of depth, how you created a focus on the main figures and awesome work on the drapery especially the cape.

the dynamic movement at "Thrill-Kill Assassin" and the arrangement of her blades

love the "coming at you" thing in "Firefist Striker" - how they are all seem approaching at you in a chain like that's just explodes with the fist.

at "Domri Rade - Planeswalker" how vast the place he is at.

and the explosiveness and energy at "Aurelia's Fury"

all are great and all feel so alive but those are the ones i like best

  3. Wow, Domri Rade looks so much better without the box across his legs. Gives him a much better sense of scale.

  6. Aurelia's Fury is an image I've had in my head for like a year now and I just haven't been good enough to nail the composition and the energy. You nailed it exactly though. Very awesome work all around.
